Founded in 2012 by Dr. S.RM. Sokkalingam, Versatile Corporate Solutions (‘Verstaile’) began as a mission-driven initiative to enhance communication and employability skills among students and working professionals. Over the years, ‘Versatile’ has grown into a trusted training partner for colleges, universities, and corporate clients across Southern India, delivering results through personalized, practical, and impactful learning experiences.
About Dr. S.RM. Sokkalingam, MBA., CAIIB., M.Phil., Ph.D.
Program Director
Dr. S.RM. Sokkalingam is an alumnus of Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai. He earned his Ph.D. from Periyar University, Salem, with a dissertation titled “A Study on the Employability Skills of MBA Students in Engineering Colleges.”
He founded Versatile Corporate Solutions in 2012 with the mission to train college students and corporate personnel in communication and life skills. Since inception, Versatile has trained over 15,000 learners across educational institutions and industries.
In 2010, Dr. Sokkalingam authored the widely acclaimed book “The Art of Speaking English.” The Hindu reviewed this book in their Book Review on August 31, 2010. Thirty thousand copies have been sold since then. The colleges and universities continue to provide this book to their students. Dr. Sokkalingam has also written four monographs to support management students on the following subjects:

- Derivative Management
- Communication Skills
In 2018, Versatile was certified by the University of Cambridge Assessment Centre (UK) to prepare candidates for Cambridge English exams.
Dr. Sokkalingam is certified by the British Council, University of Cambridge, and IDP to train candidates for IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, PTE Core, and Cambridge Interchange Levels – Lingua Skills.
With 30 years of rich experience in banking, he served in Bank of Madura Ltd. and ICICI Bank, where he led key departments such as Regional Processing, Credit Card Division, and International Remittance (introducing Western Union in Indian banking).
After his banking career, he led the Department of Management Studies at three engineering colleges around Chennai for over seven years and also founded Versatile Business School in 2009.
